Belovo Paper Mill is pleased to announce its agreement with Valmet for the supply of a state-of-the-art quality control system (QCS) for its Voith 1 paper machine. The system is expected to improve significantly the control over the basis weight and the humidity of the tissue paper produced.
Kalin Yonov, CEO of Belovo Paper Mill, pointed out: “We are pleased to have entered into our first cooperation with Valmet. We are very positive about the optimization of all engaged production resources and for the parallel achievement of output increase by ensuring smooth machine runnability. Our estimation on the impact of the investment foresees a more than 3% reduction in total production cost, which guarantees a below one year project ROI.”
Jordan Mitov, Production Manager of the Mill, added: “This is a truly Hi-Tech quality system, which is tailor-made for our paper machine by such a renowned producer – Valmet. The commissioning includes an inline paper scanner and a multipredictive control system, which will enable effective monitoring and on time interventions in paper production by the mill’s personell. The investment is set to decrease production rejects and ensure a stable level of product quality.“
